  • 2 cups allpurpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil, for cooking


Step 1

In a large Bowl , whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 2

In a separate Bowl , whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter.

Step 3

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not overmix.

Step 4

Heat a large Skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with vegetable oil.

Step 5

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the Skillet for each pancake. Cook until the edges are set and bubbles form on the surface, about 2 minutes. Flip and cook until golden brown, about 1 minute more.

Step 6

Serve with butter and syrup. Enjoy!
